Welcome to the NYO Games Alaska Coaches Registration!
As the heartbeat of communities across Alaska, the NYO Games stand as a testament to the strength, resilience, and vibrant cultural heritage of our people. These games are more than a competition; they are a celebration of traditional Native sports, a showcase of young talent, and a vital bridge connecting the past with the future.
Event Details:
Dates: Thursday, April 16th - Saturday, April 18th
Location: Alaska Airlines Center
Purpose: Students in grades 7-12, or who are currently enrolled in a GED programs (maximum 19 years of age), compete in the statewide Senior Games where teams may have one boy and one girl compete per event.
Eligibility:
Particpation is limited to one boy and one girl per event, per school/district, or tribal entity. Districts with 60 or more participants are required to hold a "Tryouts" event within their community to create an "A" and "B" team to attend Statewide Senior Games.
Registration Fee (Late Bird):
- Coaches are responsible for collecting athlete registration fees and remitting payment to Cook Inlet Tribal Council. Accepted payment methods include credit card, cash and company checks.
- Participation Fee Per Athlete:
- $40.00 - Starting April 13, 2026 through the games
